  1. I like your site logo; it looks professional. And your theme seems fresh and modern, you get an extra plus for it being responsive. But I am finding your text a bit small for my liking and phpBB feels a bit outdated (although your theme does a good job of hiding the worst parts of phpBB). Good luck with your community! 🙂

  2. Although I rarely use this kind of forum, I do see the use of it and how it can help strengthen the community feeling among both new and regular members. Good idea, @Ashley!

  3. It's essential to know html and css especially if you run a forum. Because you will find yourself constantly in need of editing your website. And this can be a huge issue with small things like even stopping a page title from being there. Lack of experience in this field will cause you to need to pay people to do it for you and you can save so much money if your a do-it-yourself type guy like I am.

  6. Having a simple domain I believe matters, or a domain that makes sense. But as the extension matters it does not. I had the largest website for it's genre at the time and it was a .co (I later bought the .com of it for $300 but ended up letting it expire after a year when I realized no one still used it and instead used the .co more) it really all relates to SEO and simplicity.

  9. Here are my top three favorite web design resources. I’ve listed them in no particular order as I think they are all equally great in what they offer. And as an added bonus they are all free to use. Font Awesome The first one is Font Awesome which lets you get free vector icons a social logos for your website. Font Awesome offers thousands of different icons – both free and paid ones – and implementing them to your own website is super easy. This is most definitely a must-use for every web designer. Unsplash Next one up is Unsplash which offers free high-resolut

  10. Nice share. I use Pexels.com for my stock photos but I have not heard of that one. I added it to my favorites just now. A good source for icons though is Flat Icon. It cost $12 but you can cancel the renewal and only have the single month at a time. You can download 1,000 downloads a day for an entire month of icons and then download the premium license and permanently use it without attribution on any site you want. It's a neat little place because the icons are incredible.

  11. It will be interesting to see how well they do but I do think forums will be fine overall. Forums still offer anonymity and more of a sense of community which is beneficial to many

  12. I believe domain name matters less nowadays, most of the site use totally irrelevant or domains which doesn't reflect what they do. I think users will surely be able to find their desired website using Google.
